A Geothermal System is a clean renewable energy that is nonpolluting. In a residential application, water flows through a series of pipes buried underground. To heat the house, water is pumped into those pipes and absorbs the heat from the earth. This heated water is pumped back into the house, condenses and is transferred into the air through the air duct. To cool the house, the process is reversed. The heat from the house is transferred to the water that is then pumped into the ground; cool water is pumped back into the house. This technology is new but has great economic savings for the home owner.
