A ball valve is a quarter turn valve with a spherical disk that controls the flow of water through it. These valves are long lasting and are able to withstand temperatures of 482 F and pressures of up to 1000 BAR. Ball valves are usually manufactured out of metal or plastic and have a ceramic center.
